How to Update Mario Kart 8

On 3 August 2023, new update data for Mario Kart 8 became available for download. Please take a moment to download and install this update while your Wii U console is connected to the Internet.
Notes:
- This update must be applied in order to use the Internet features of Mario Kart 8.
- Save data will still be available for use after downloading the update.
- If the system's Standby Functions are enabled, the update will download and install automatically.
What to Do:
- Connect the Wii U console to the Internet.
- Return to the Wii U Menu and launch Mario Kart 8.
- The update will be downloaded and installed automatically.
- Once the update is installed, the newest version number will be displayed on the title screen.
